Harriot Kezia Hunt, a homeopathic doctor, campaigned for women’s suffrage and for women to be admitted to medical schools. Harriot applied multiple times unsuccessfully to attend Harvard Medical School, starting in 1847. Harvard Medical School admitted women for the first time nearly 100 years later, in 1945.
